Danny Archer is one of the diamond smugglers helping to fuel civil war in Sierra Leone. When Solomon Vandy, a native struggling to find his kidnapped family, finds a large raw diamond he stashes it, knowing it may be the only way to rescue his wife and children. The duo are left with no choice but to collaborate albeit with very different goals when the situation becomes tense there is a growing likelihood that Danny will never get out alive.
